One of the issues surrounding drilling in our communities is how the drilling sites will be zoned.
Zoning is important because local communities and municipalities cannot regulate or legislate drilling. Any legislation regarding Marcellus drilling in Pennsylvania can only be done at the state level.
However changes to existing zoning regulations must be done in a public hearing, which is were the community can get involved and voice their concerns.
